Are you a philanthropist?
We want to hear from you! Tell us how you redefine philanthropy by sharing
your philanthropic stories, pictures, and videos.

I believe philanthropy is giving back to your fellow neighbor with expecting anything in return. It is a way of serving those who cannot provide for themselves.

I serve my community through The ELITE Urban Innovators Group, Inc. where we strive to change the narrative constructed about young Black men by fostering a sense of comradely amongst our youth. All while combatting the many forms of toxic stress that affect male youth in Detroit.

To me philanthropy is having a desire to help others and using whatever resources are at your disposal to offer that help. I am passionate about giving back to my hometown and supporting communities of color and other vulnerable populations. My heart is what makes me a philanthropist.

My philanthropy is helping others financially and by providing resources to those in need. Whether I am doing it myself or connecting others to give through my company, my goal is to transform lives through giving. One dollar may not mean much to one man, but it may change another man’s life or even save a life. I love giving in order to serve others.

My art of philanthropy is elevating and serving underrepresented communities through my design work and volunteerism. My name is Alicia Volcy. I am an artist, an advocate, and a game changer. I am a philanthropist.

You don't have to be rich to give back. You just have to have a heart for others.
